3,400 Spanish Bank Repossessions on Offer by SAREB

The SAREB (also known as the bad bank) has launched a new campaign to sell 3,400 Spanish Bank Repossessions including houses, storage rooms and parking spaces, with discounts up to 60%. Half of the offer is located in Valencia, Andalusia and Catalonia and will be marketed through different online sites.

The Asset Management Company of the Bank restructuring coming back to launch a campaign to sell housing, storage, parking spaces and even premises totaling about 3,400 buildings. To enable interested parties to select their preference, SAREB has created a platform to publicize the buildings and offering discounts of up to 60%. A sale that will continue until December 31, 2015.

The asset portfolio is spread among 13 regions, with the largest presence in Valencia, Castilla y Leon, Catalonia and Andalusia. The campaign includes 1,500 parking spaces for sale, about a hundred and forty storage premises.

Prices vary according to the province and housing conditions. They can be found from an apartment in Tarancón (Cuenca) for 24,000 euros to half a million euros for a villa in L’Eliana (Valencia).

According to another source, the number of foreigners searching for bank repossessions on the net, has risen during the first six months of this year by 22%, and the numbers of enquiries from British and French nationals have gone up by 35%. The most popular provinces for bank repossession searches on the portal are reported to be Málaga, Cádiz, Alicante, La Rioja, the Balearics and La Coruña, and the companys analysis of the data suggests that more and more foreign buyers are looking for a permanent home in Spain and the Golden Visa, rather than a mere investment.

The same source also published data a month ago showing that the number of searches by Spaniards for bank repossessions increased by 92% in September and October compared to the same months last year.
